‘I will not apologize in this birth’, SP MP Ramji Lal Suman maintained his statement about Rana Sanga

A day after the Karni Sena was attacked by his home, Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha member Ramji Lal Suman said on Thursday that he would not apologize, as he did not say anything wrong about Rana Sanga. Suman said that I have not done anything wrong; I will not apologize. On his controversial comment, he said, “What I have said is a historical fact, and I stand on my statement.”

Rana Sanga, also known as Sangram Singh I, was the ruler of Mewar from 1508 to 1528 and is known for his bravery and sacrifice. Suman’s statement has been widely criticized, seeking many people to apologize and take action against him. The SP MP met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday and demanded security for himself after the Karni Sena members attacked their Agra house on Wednesday.
He said that I will not apologize in this birth, I do not know the next life. They have to learn to accept the truth. Babur was invited by Rana Sanga to defeat Ibrahim Lodi. He had a misunderstanding that Babur was a robber and he would go back, and we would rule. He said, “There was an agreement that Rana Sanga would attack Agra. When his agreement was broken, he fought in Fatehpur Sikri. Rana Sanga fought bravely, but lost. It is history, who can deny it?”

Several activists of the caste-based group Karni Sena, who advocated Rajput Gaurav, vandalized the MLA’s house near Hari Parvat intersection in Agra on Wednesday. Many cars parked outside the house were damaged, chairs were broken and glass of the windows of the house were broken. In a video, some policemen are shown facing the crowd, which was creating an uproar in the posh area. A policeman was injured during the clash. Karni Sena chief Suraj Pal Singh Amu said that Suman insulted the “hero” who defeated the Mughals and demanded an apology to MP and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
