Gill is going through a great form in ODIs. He scored 259 runs in the three -match ODI series against England at an average of 86.33. Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir praised Gill, saying that recently the vice-captain has helped him to perform well.
Last week, Gill needed five points to leave Babar Azam behind in the ranking. On February 19, Babar Azam lost 13 points, while Shubman Gill got 15 points. Gill now has 796 points and Babur has 776 points.
