Amid the ongoing tension with India, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif reiterated that any aggression or effort to endanger Pakistan’s security will be given a terrible and historic reply from the country. Asif said that if India dared to attack Pakistan, no one would survive. The comment has come at a time when tension between the two countries has reached a new level after the Pahalgam terror attack, after which India has taken several steps against the neighboring country, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty. Pakistani ministers have repeatedly claimed that they have intelligence information that India can attack anytime. He said on Sama TV that if we do not live then no one will survive. If our safety is threatened then we will fight with full aggression.

The minister claimed that Pakistan was ready for all scenarios, while he accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and warned that banned TTP and BLA were India’s mercenary soldiers and pseudo. He said that our enemies are on both sides of our borders. In addition, he compared Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said that both are engaged in dangerous politics inspired by ego and electoral objectives. He further suggested that any War is likely to be limited to the Line of Control (LoC), but if it begins, it cannot be controlled. If Modi takes any negligent step on the map of Netanyahu, then Pakistan’s response would be such that history will remember it.

The Defense Minister also criticized the suspension of the 1961 Indus Water Treaty and described it as a war action. Asif said that if India creates a structure to stop our water, it will be destroyed. Water is our red line. Future war will be for water. He said that in late May, the flow of water in rivers and canals increased.
