The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has expressed serious concern over the growing tension in the Middle East and “strongly condemned” the military attacks by Israel on Iran on 13 June. However, India avoided participating in the discussions of the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) on the statement condemning Israel’s military attacks on Iran and urged negotiations and diplomacy to reduce stress. The SCO’s statement came amid growing tension in West Asia after Israeli attacks on Iran on 13 June. Israel on Friday launched the “East-Nivarak Abhiyan” on Iran, targeting Iran’s nuclear program.
