India’s big action, Myanmar border completely sealed, Bangladesh will cry

The Government of India has taken a historic step regarding Myanmar. Now the Myanmar border will be fully sealed and the free movement has been abolished. This is the first time India has decided to completely close its 1645 km long border with Myanmar. You must have heard the name Jolland recently. It was the dream of the cookie community living in India and some parts of Myanmar. He wanted Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Shanghai region of Myanmar to be made a separate state. But the Government of India has completely rejected this demand and now strong security arrangements have been made on Myanmar border.

What is free movement regime

Till now people from India and Myanmar could come without a visa for 10 kilometers. But now this will not be possible after this decision. To cross the border, you have to undergo a fixed gate and follow the entire process. This decision will affect the Naga and Cookie tribes the most because its relatives live in Myanmar. This is the reason why they are opposing it. But the Government of India has taken this big step by giving top priority to national security. The Central Committee of Young Mizo Association or Central YMA has urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to rethink the Center’s decision to fencing the Indo-Myanmar border and to remove the free traffic system with the neighboring country. According to the 2011 census, YMA is the largest civil society organization of Mizoram, which has more than 4 lakh members out of the state’s population of about 11 lakhs.

Why this decision was taken

There are many major reasons behind taking this decision. There has been a situation of civil war in Myanmar since 2021. Many people are coming to India to take shelter. This is increasing tension in Mizoram and Manipur. Narco Terrorism is increasing in India. Many terrorist organizations are strengthening their networks through drugs and weapons.Mizoram has been providing shelter to about 40,000 refugees in the Chin State of Myanmar since the military acquisition of the neighboring country in 2021, sharing ethnic relations with Mizo. Apart from this, there are 2,000 refugees from Bangladesh’s Chittagong hilly region and 12,000 internal displaced people from Manipur.
