Kolkata Police has arrested a woman Instagram Influencer for posting a communal video on Operation Sindoor for the silence of Bollywood actors. Officials gave this information on Saturday.
Instagram Influenceer Sharmishtha Panoli has been arrested by Kolkata Police from Gurugram and sent to judicial custody till 12 June for her controversial post against Bollywood actors on Operation Sindoor. Sharmishtha posted a video on Instagram in which she criticized several Bollywood stars to keep quiet on Operation Sindoor. He was also allegedly used abusive language against him. She studies at Law University in Pune and was arrested from Gurugram on Friday. Police sources told PTI that he was arrested for a post on Instagram in which he said that Hindi film actor was silent on Operation Sindoor.

The accused has been identified as Sharmistha Panoli, a Law University student in Pune, who was arrested from Gurgaon on Friday night. According to police sources, Panoli uploaded a video on Instagram alleging that the Hindi film actor kept quiet on Operation Sindoor. This post led to a wide response, many users trolled them and posted threatened comments.
Facing criticisms, Panoli removed the video and apologized. However, a complaint had already been filed against him in Kolkata. Notices were then issued to him and his family. A Kolkata Police official said that when repeated attempts to give legal notice failed and it was found that the family had run away, the matter was placed before the court. The warrant was issued and arrested from Gurgaon. Panoli is currently in police custody.
