Infrastructure to achieve the goal of developed Maharashtra and priority to agriculture: Ajit Pawar

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said on Monday that the Mahayuti government has given priority to the development of agriculture, industry, employment generation and welfare schemes as well as infrastructure to achieve the target of developed Maharashtra.

Responding to the discussion in the assembly on the state budget 2025-26, Pawar said that political will is required to achieve big dreams and big development goals.

Ajit Pawar also has the responsibility of the state finance department. He said that Mahayuti government has strength and political will. He said that if road infrastructure and network are expanded, then the productivity of industries will increase, farmers will have to bear less expenses, will save fuel and promote the economy.

Pawar said that artificial intelligence (AI) technology will give new life to agriculture in the state and make farmers prosperous. He assured that the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will continue and the money transferred to the disqualified beneficiaries will not be withdrawn.

Pawar said that in the last few months, many women have used Rs 1,500 to start small businesses as initial capital, and many women have left the benefit of Ujjwala Gas Scheme after the appeal has been made that the scheme is for the poor sections of the society.

He said, ‘If such women are empowered, the state’s economy will benefit. The minister said that due to the government focusing on agricultural development, the growth rate of the region increased to 8.7 percent in 2024-25, while it was 3.3 percent in 2023-24. He said that AI technology will provide crop management guidance and increase productivity.
