The BCCI had invited the three army chiefs for the IPL final to be held on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad but now, according to the information, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Army Chief Adminral Dinesh K and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh will not attend the closing ceremony.
On Tuesday, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia had said that we have invited all Indian armed forces heads, top officials and soldiers for the IPL final to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. The board salutes the valor, courage and selfless service of the country’s armed forces. Seven BSF bands of the three armies bands were also to be performed at the closing ceremony.
Also, separate arrangements were made for the seating of 1000 military officers, soldiers and their family in the stadium. Not only this, movies of India’s heroic story were to be shown on the big screen in the stadium. The board source said that there were indications from the government on Thursday, after which we have changed the program. Now the Bollywood singers will fill the audience with patriotic songs before the start of the match.
