With the aim of preventing Iran from making nuclear weapons, Israel announced the launch of ‘Operation Rising Lion’, as well as Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu claimed on Friday that other locations including Iran’s main promotion center in Natanj have been attacked.
Hussain Salami, the chief general of Iran’s paramilitary force ‘Revolutionary Guard’, died in the Israeli attack. The country’s government television gave this information in its news. In television, the news presenter read a statement stating, “General Hussain salute has been murdered.” However, the statement did not give any information other than that. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel has targeted Iran’s nuclear and military sites, officials leading its nuclear program and its ballistic missile arsenal.
Who was Hussain salute?
Born in Golpayagan in 1960, Iran-Iraq joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) during the Irana War. Over the years, his dedication and leadership helped him rise up in ranks, eventually became deputy commander. On April 21, 2019, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei appointed him as Commander-in-Chief of IRGC as the successor of Major General Mohammad Ali Jafri. Hosain salute was killed on 13 June 2025 in an Israeli airstrike.
Netanyahu said in a video message on Friday morning, “Shortly before Israel started ‘Operation Rising Lion’ which is a target military campaign to end the Iranian threat for the existence of Israel. This campaign will continue till the end of the danger.
The Prime Minister of Israel claimed, “For decades, the dictators of Tehran have been openly talking about the destruction of Israel. He conducted a program to develop nuclear weapons along with his statements of genocide. Iran has produced sufficiently high-prosperous uranium in recent years to make nine atomic bombs. ”
