Deir al-Balah. Houthi rebels in Yemen said Israeli airstrikes targeted the rebel-held capital Sanaa and the port city of Hodeida. Israel carried out these attacks a few days after continuous attacks on Israel by Houthi rebels. The Israeli military said it targeted the international airport in Sanaa and the ports of Hodeida, al-Salif and Ras Kantaib, as well as power centers used by the Houthi rebels.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech on Wednesday that the Houthis would learn the same lessons that Hamas, Hezbollah, the Assad government and others have learned. His government said Netanyahu worked with military leaders to monitor the latest attacks. The Iran-backed Houthi news platform reported the attacks in a post on Telegram but did not immediately provide any details. The US military has also targeted Houthi rebels in Yemen in recent days.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip’s health ministry said five Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli strike outside a hospital overnight. The Israeli army said that all those killed were terrorists who were disguised as journalists. The attack occurred on a car outside al-Awda hospital in the Nusrat refugee camp in central Gaza. The journalists were working for the local news channel ‘Al-Quds Today’. ‘Al-Quds Today’ is a television channel affiliated with the Islamic Jihad militant group.
