We stand before this nation in Delhi and we question whether democracy is prevailing or not in Andhra Pradesh where the word democracy means equal justice and today equal justice has been denied in the State and democracy is limping, the former Chief Minister said.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy is holding a day-long protest against the Andhra Pradesh government at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav also joined him. Former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said in his statement that today they are in power, tomorrow we can come to power. Yesterday we were in power, but we never promoted such behavior. He said that we have never encouraged attacks and damage to properties. Today the situation in Andhra Pradesh is different.

The former chief minister said that we stand before this country in Delhi and we question whether democracy is prevailing in Andhra Pradesh or not where the word democracy means equal justice and today equal justice has been denied in the state and democracy is limping. He accused the TDP that within 45 days of the government coming to power, you have a situation where more than 30 people have been killed and attacks are taking place which led to murder attempts and many properties have been damaged.

You have people like CM Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh who are displaying a red book which is put up in the form of hoardings across the state and the contents of this red book are a list of politicians they intend to take action and attack. Such hoardings are put up across the state, the YSRCP president said. Earlier, former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP MLAs left for Delhi from Vijayawada. They had announced that their party would hold a peaceful protest in Delhi on July 24 to highlight the ‘deteriorating’ law and order situation in the state.
