kalburgi ias officer reaction after mlc called him a pakistani

The controversial comment made by BJP MLC N Ravikumar against Kalburgi’s Deputy District Commissioner Fauzia Taranum is taking the form of a political controversy. Many political leaders of Karnataka are taking their stand on this. However, the officer himself refused to say anything further in the matter or comment. Senior IAS officer Fauzia Taranum, who is targeted by MLC Ravikumar, said that I do not want to comment on the matter. This is a private decision and I believe it should be respected. I want to let my work speak myself. I should focus on completing the work.

The dispute began when Ravikumar allegedly gave communal context, in which the officer was linked to Pakistan, after which the state ministers reacted strongly. Ravikumar had questioned the way an alleged ambush and fellow BJP leader’s arrest by the people. The statement of CM Siddaramaiah of Karnataka has come out. He said that whatever BJP MLC Ravi Kumar said is not appropriate. This is a statement that creates enmity. They (Kalburgi DC Fauzia Taranum) will be nothing, but this is to create enmity in the society. A police complaint and FIR will be registered against him. I strongly condemn this.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said that Indian Administrative Service Association officials and others met me this morning. They are all surprised. He (Faujia Tarannum) is a very clean officer. This is his honor towards a female officer. The government will take action and I ask for clarification from BJP president and Union ministers.
