A Delhi court on Tuesday ordered Delhi Police to conduct further investigation against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kapil Mishra for alleged involvement in the north-eastern Delhi riots of 2020. The case is related to a petition filed in August 2024 by Yamuna Vihar resident Mohammad Ilyas, demanding an FIR against the then Station House Officer (SHO) Mishra of Dayalpur police station and three BJP leaders Mustafabad MLA Mohan Singh Bisht and five others including former MLA Jagdish Pradhan and Satpal MP.
