BJP National President JP Nadda addressed the Kargil Vijay Silver Jubilee celebrations in New Delhi. He said that every BJP worker is proudly celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas in his district and area with his army brothers and the protectors of the country and with the brave warriors. Nadda said that this day is even more important for us because we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas as Silver Jubilee on 26 July.
The BJP President said that this victory was not just the victory of Tiger Hills, this victory was not just the victory of Drass sector, this victory was not the victory of the tricolour flag on a hill… this was the victory of India’s valour and pride. He said that as everyone knows, India has a policy of ‘no first attack’, but India also fully believes in retaliation if attacked by enemies.
JP Nadda said that the Pakistani army infiltrated India’s borders like cowards and established themselves at strategic locations on top of the hill. They secured themselves in bunkers and attacked the Indian Army soldiers while trying to climb up. He said that despite the continuous attack, the Indian Army stood up to them with courage and retaliated. The Indian Army recaptured Tiger Hill and hoisted the tricolor there!
He said that let me also tell you that earlier our soldiers were neglected. For decades our soldiers had been demanding ‘One Rank One Pension’, but nobody paid attention. But when Modi ji came in 2014, he worked to give ‘One Rank One Pension’. He said that earlier our soldier brothers’ hands were tied, they had to wait for orders, but when Modi ji became the Prime Minister, he said that wherever the bullets are fired, from whichever direction… do not stop until the bullets stop… this is changing India.
The Union Minister said that till 2014 we did not have bullet proof jackets, today under the leadership of Modi Ji, India is exporting bullet proof jackets and giving them to the world. Earlier, our soldiers had to think before reaching the border and today thousands of kilometers of roads have been built to reach the border. There are some people who always give priority to politics to play with the country’s defense. But our Modi Ji always celebrates every Diwali with the soldiers, always stands with them. He said that I want to ask that when the Kargil war was going on, which Congress leader went to Kargil, which leader went to Dras, but I can say with pride that even at that time, Himachal in-charge and BJP General Secretary Modi Ji went to Kargil to boost the morale of the soldiers.
