Kejriwal’s claim, some members of BJP’s ‘Pandit Cell’ joined AAP’s ‘Sanatan Seva Samiti’

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday claimed that ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, some members of the ‘Pandit Cell’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have joined his party’s ‘Sanatan Seva Samiti’.

Voting for Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8. Kejriwal said in the press conference that those who left BJP’s Pandit cell to join AAP include Vijay Sharma, Jitendra Sharma, Brijesh Sharma, Manish Gupta, Dushyant Sharma and Udaykant Jha.

Many party leaders including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bhardwaj were present on the occasion. On Monday, the AAP chief had announced that if his party comes to power once again in Delhi, it would launch ‘Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana’.

He promised to give a monthly allowance of Rs 18,000 to temple priests and gurudwara granthis. After welcoming the new members, the former Delhi Chief Minister said, “I am happy that we started the education and health revolution and now we are starting this revolution for our priests also.”

He further claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party fulfills all its promises, unlike the BJP. “We will provide Rs 18,000 to our priests as promised under the guidance of these priests,” he said. The upcoming elections are an important test for the AAP as it is aiming to form the government in Delhi for the third consecutive time.
