Virat Kohli and Steve Smith demonstrated mutual praise and brilliant sportsmanship after the conclusion of the semi -finals of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 between India and Australia. After India won the match by four wickets, Kohli and Smith, who are part of the much talked about ‘Fab Four’, were seen sharing a moment in the field. This video is now going viral on social media.
As soon as KL Rahul hit a winning six off Glenn Maxwell, an atmosphere of celebration was created and the whole Indian camp jumped with joy. KL Rahul shouted loudly and senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hugged each other. However, soon everyone’s attention went to Steve Smith and Virat Kohli, who first shook hands on the field. Both hugged each other and then Smith was seen holding a hand on Virat Kohli’s chest.
This was a rare gesture from Smith, and possibly he appreciated the ‘Chase Master’ Kohli, who once again was the guide power behind chasing India’s successful goal. Kohli also warmly hugged his former partner Glenn Maxwell in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Both spoke for a while before joining hands with other players.
Both Kohli and Smith performed brilliantly. However, Kohli’s effort won Smith and Australia. 36 -year -old Kohli was adjudged Player of the Match for an innings of 84 off 98 balls, in which India achieved the target of 265 runs with four wickets and 11 balls remaining.
