Just before the assembly elections, the troubles of another Aam Aadmi Party leader in Delhi seem to be increasing. A few days ago, the Crime Branch has arrested AAP leader Naresh Balyan in an extortion case. The arrest was made after an audio clip of his conversation with gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, who is sitting abroad, surfaced. In the audio clip, a conversation is taking place between the gangster and the MLA regarding extortion from businessmen. The crime branch is investigating this matter. Regarding the entire episode, BJP says that Naresh Balyan is related to a gangster and he runs an extortion gang.
Know who is Naresh Balyan?
MLA Naresh Balyan was born on 22 November 1976. He is MLA from Uttam Nagar. Uttam Nagar seat falls in the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. In the year 2015, he contested the assembly elections for the first time on Aam Aadmi Party ticket and defeated BJP’s Pawan Sharma by more than 30 thousand votes. He has assets worth crores of rupees. His wife Posh is a teacher.

More than 20 criminal cases are registered against notorious gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu in different police stations. He is a resident of Najafgarh area of Delhi. At present, he is abroad for the last 5 years and runs the entire gang from there. Kapil Sangwan is the mastermind of the murder case of Haryana’s Indian National Lok Dal state president Nafe Singh Rathi and BJP leader Surendra Matiyala.
