know your constitution Chapter 3 | Did Baba Saheb alone make the entire Constitution? Teh Tak

After all, BR Ambedkar was merely the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly, so why is the full credit given to him for drafting the Constitution. After all, when there were more than 200 members in the Constituent Assembly, then why is so much attention given to Dr. Abandekar alone? After all, why is Bhimrao Ambedkar called the father of the Indian Constitution? After all, why do these people believe that the Constitution of India was made by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar only?
How did India emerge as the world’s largest democracy after 200 years of slavery? Its story is very interesting. With the end of British rule, the biggest question was who should be entrusted with the responsibility of governing such a large country. After all, who will be the one in whose hands the entire country will be handed over? After all, who will be the leaders in Congress to whom the British will give the responsibility of running the country? To find the answer to this question, a team of the Cabinet Mission reached Delhi on 23 March 1946. This team included Patrick Lawrence, Sir Stepford Cripps and AB Alexander. This group met and talked to all the parties and on 16 May 1946, this Cabinet Mission came to the conclusion that after India’s independence, the British would hand over the power of India to the Constituent Assembly. There will be elections to decide who will be in this Constituent Assembly. It was also decided that there would be a total of 389 members in the Constituent Assembly. In which 292 members will be from provinces and 93 members will be from princely states. On June 25, the general plan of the Cabinet Mission was agreed upon. An interim government was formed under the recommendations of this Cabinet Mission.

In that election, Bhimrao Ambedkar lost the election as a Scheduled Caste Federation candidate from Bombay. All responsibility fell on Ambedkar alone
When it came to drafting the Constitution, only Ambedkar was present among the 7 members. This incident was mentioned by Drafting Committee member T.T. Krishnamachari in the Constituent Assembly. TT Krishnamachari told the Constituent Assembly in November 1948 that due to ‘death, illness and other commitments’ most of the committee members did not contribute adequately to the drafting. Due to this, the burden of drafting the Constitution fell on Dr. Ambedkar.
Standing in the Constituent Assembly for 100 days and explaining the draft patiently
His historic speech of 25 November 1949, on the occasion of unanimous acceptance of the Constitution, is quoted again and again. In it he had said that I am not really the rightful person for the credit that has been given to me. Its official is also Benegal Narasimha Rao, who is the constitutional advisor of this Constitution and who prepared the rough draft of the Constitution for the consideration of the Drafting Committee. Ambedkar stood in the Constituent Assembly for nearly 100 days and patiently explained the entire draft of the Constitution and discussed every suggestion.
