In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, six masked miscreants scaled the boundary wall of a refugee center and kidnapped a 17-year-old girl from there. The miscreants entered the center when the female guard present there was sleeping.

The police gave this information on Sunday. Additional Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Rainwal told PTI that the incident took place at around 2 am on Saturday night at the shelter home located in the Kampu area of ​​the city.

He said CCTV camera footage installed at the One-Stop Centre (a government-sponsored facility that provides shelter to women affected by violence) showed six masked men entering the premises and taking away the teenager.

The official said an FIR has been registered in connection with the incident and some suspects are being questioned. He said the police are also investigating whether some of the staff of the shelter home were in collusion with the miscreants. Another police official said the CCTV footage showed the main female guard sleeping at the entrance of the shelter home.
