Security forces have arrested nine militants from Imphal West and Tenganupal districts of Manipur. The police gave this information on Tuesday. Police said two militants of the banned organization Kanglipak Communist Party were arrested on Monday from Roopmahal Tank area of Imphal West District. They were involved in forcible recovery activities in the Roopmahal tank area. In another campaign, security forces arrested the banned organization United National Liberation Front (Koireng) and two PREPAK militants from Tenganupal district on Sunday.

According to the police report, security forces have arrested nine militants from Imphal West and Tenganupal districts of Manipur. On Monday, two militants of the Kanglipak Communist Party (Apunba) were arrested from the Roop Mahal Tank area of Imphal West. People detained were allegedly involved in forcible recovery activities in the area. Security forces seized an LMG, an SLR, two INSAS rifles and one AK 47 rifle from the five terrorists arrested on Sunday, as well as 14 magazines, ammunition and other items. Police on Sunday arrested a person from Kavpui area of Churachandpur district on charges of smuggling arms. A colt 7.65mm auto pistol and 9mm pistol (domestic), magazine, 16 different types of ammunition and other items were seized from him.

In a separate campaign, security forces on Sunday arrested two terrorists associated with banned organizations United National Liberation Front (Koireng) and Prepak. The militants were arrested from the border column 85 in Tangnaulal district. In addition, security forces on Sunday arrested five members of the Kanglipak Communist Party (KCP) from the El Minau Ridgeline area of Tenganupal district. These terrorists were part of the KCP (Tabangamba) faction.
During the same campaign, the authorities seized a large arms cache from five terrorists, including a light machine gun (LMG), a self-loading rifle (SLR), two INSAS rifles and one AK-47 rifle as well as 14 Magazines, ammunition and other materials are included. In another incident on Sunday, police arrested a person in Kavanpui area of Chudachandpur district on charges of smuggling arms.
A colt 7.65 mm auto pistol, a 9 mm domestic pistol, three magazines, 16 different types of ammunition and additional items were recovered near the suspect. The ongoing campaign aims to prevent the impact of restricted rebel groups in the area and ensure safety of the people of Manipur. Police officials have emphasized their commitment to neutralize terrorist activities in the state.
