BJP leader and actor Mithun Chakraborty requested to impose President’s rule in West Bengal in view of the violence in Murshidabad, saying that army should be deployed in the state for at least two months during the election. He said that I have requested many times and I am still requesting the Home Minister. Deploy the army for at least two months during the election. If they are deployed, fair elections will be held.

Chakraborty also criticized the Bengal Police and said that whenever there is a riot or disturbance, they just bring a chair, sit and see as if it is a spectacle. And once it is finished, they cover their chairs and go home. That is their work. By closing his eyes, ignoring everything. Mithun while talking about West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that if she really wanted Madam (Mamata Banerjee), everything could have stopped in a day.
He said that one more day would be over. But he has not said anything yet. By the way, that is a different thing. In Bengal, Sanatani people, Christians, Sikhs- all our brothers- they are not going to vote for this party. Their time is over now, so you have to keep their vote bank happy. Therefore, no matter what goes wrong, nothing will be said against them. He said that he believes the Waqf Amendment Act is just an excuse and has been used as a cover, while the real agenda is something else.

TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha said on actor-BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty that Mithun Chakraborty is my friend but he is not a political person. He has been brought into politics. He has not been an MLA, councilor, MP. He once became a member of Rajya Sabha, that too because of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. He said that now he is making statements due to pressure from BJP.
