The relationship between Thailand and China is considered very good at cultural or trade level. In such a situation, India’s unilateral target on China’s expansionism and on the other hand will further disturb China to increase defense-security trade with Thailand and strengthen cooperation.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Thailand to participate in BIMSTEC meeting, he also held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Thailand. After the meeting, a joint statement from both the leaders also came out. In order to make this statement, PM Narendra Modi targeted China from the land of Thailand without naming China. He directly challenged the policy of expansionism of China, saying that India believes in evolution and not expansionism. PM Modi insisted that India believes in the policy of ‘development’ instead of ‘expansionism’. He also informed that special emphasis is being laid on increasing cooperation in the field of tourism, culture and education between the northeastern states of India and Thailand. Surely PM Modi’s statement will bother China because PM Modi has given this statement on Thailand’s land just before the meeting of BIMSTEC, not in his country.
The relationship between Thailand and China is considered very good at cultural or trade level. In such a situation, India’s unilateral target on China’s expansionism and on the other hand will further disturb China to increase defense-security trade with Thailand and strengthen cooperation. PM Modi said about the conversation with Shinavatra, “We have emphasized cooperation in the field of tourism, culture and education between the northeastern states of India and Thailand.” We discussed increasing mutual trade, investment and exchanges between businesses. He said that agreements have also been signed for cooperation in micro, small and central industries (MSMEs), handloom and handicrafts. India and Thailand signed a joint manifesto to establish a strategic partnership and signed five consent letters in areas ranging from digital technologies to culture.
After the US has imposed tariffs, China’s attitude is loose these days. Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that this is the right time to become partners of both China and India. Xi Jinping has said that both countries should strengthen their friendship. The President of China has said that there is a huge potential for cooperation between the two neighboring countries. The question is, what is the intention of China and what should be taken by India in this regard? Chinese President Xi Jinping has written a letter to India. A letter has been written by China on being 75 years of diplomatic relations to India. It is often said that there is a difference between the words and actions of China. Do not listen to China, China needs to pay attention to what is doing on the ground. In fact, India is taking several diplomatic steps one after the other to deal with the tariff of Donald Trump.
