Mother Dairy introduced high protein-rich milk in Delhi-NCR

Mother Dairy on Wednesday targeted the country’s protein deficiency population in the Delhi-NCR region, introducing a protein-rich milk product ‘Promilk’ proclaimed at Rs 70 per liter.

The product of new cow’s milk has 40 grams of protein per liter, four percent fat and 11.5 percent solid-flesh (SNF), and is rich in vitamin A and D. It will be available 500 ml from Thursday and one liter packaging through offline and online retail shops.

Manish Bandalish, managing director of the company, said that the purpose of the product is to resolve nutritional challenges. During an event on the occasion of offering, Bandalish said, “Protein is an important part of a balanced diet.”

Promilk provides 30 percent more protein than standard milk, which provides a convenient nutritional solution while maintaining familiar taste.

The company’s initial target is 50,000 liters per day and plans to expand further from Delhi-NCR based on the initial market response. Mother Dairy also intends to introduce additional Pro range products such as curd and cheese within three months.

Mother Dairy, a subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), collects milk from 10 lakh farmers from 12 states and operates four lakh retail shops across the country.
