Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has received an email threatening a suicide (suicide) attack by targeting the government residence and state secretariat. In response, CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) and police evacuated both places. The bomb disposal squad was called and security has been increased on both the Chief Minister’s residence and the secretariat. Chief Minister’s residence, Sant Kabir Kutir and Secretariat are located in Chandigarh. After getting threatened email, Chandigarh Police and CISF have increased security in both places.

At around 3:15 pm, it was reported that there could be a bomb in the office building. The secretariat complex was evacuated after the bomb was threatened. The Central Industrial Security Force, Haryana Police, Chandigarh Police and Crime Investigation Department are present in the Haryana Secretariat and are on high alert. Bomb disposal squads and dog squad have also reached the secretariat and Chief Minister’s residence and are inspecting the area. The office also has a fire brigade and an ambulance.

Meanwhile, the Udyog Bhavan in Delhi also received an e-mail threatening to blow up the campus. E-mail addressed to the Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries claimed that suicidal IEDs would be used inside the Udyog Bhavan campus. After the threat, an alert was issued to vacate the building and take necessary steps. The bomb threat came a day before the mock drill, as the security agencies are scheduled to drill security drills in the districts bordering Pakistan on the evening of 31 May. Drill exercise, which was initially postponed, will be in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, which aims to raise preparations and ensure awareness in sensitive areas of border threats and ensure awareness.
