According to the statement, all the players and head coach of the Indian women’s hockey team will get a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh each, while the support staff will get Rs 5 lakh each. The Indian women’s hockey team won the Asian Champions Trophy by defeating defending Olympic silver medalists China 1-0 in the final in Rajgir on Wednesday.
“The Chief Minister appreciated the performance of the Indian team, especially during the final match with China,” a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said.
