Noida police station Sector 20 police, during the investigation last night, retaliated after the miscreants firing in which both the accused were injured. Both the accused have been arrested by the police. Stolen jewelery, illegal weapons and motorcycles used in the incident have been recovered from them.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Rambadan Singh said that the police station sector 20 police was checking near the toilet of DLF goods late on Wednesday, when two people riding on a motorcycle without number plate were seen coming from the front.
He said that the police indicated to stop the motorcycle persons but they started running away. He said that on the basis of suspicion, the police chased him. Singh said that the miscreant hid in the bushes near the multi -level car parking of Sector 18 and hid the bike, and started firing at the police.
He said that in the retaliation of the police, two crooks Shahzad alias Shahid (27 years) son Yameen and Shakir Ahmed (38 years) son Naeem were injured by being shot in the leg. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
According to Singh, Shahzad lives in Nainital district of Uttarakhand and Shakir in Doghat police station area of Baghpat district. The DCP said that the police have recovered a silver pair of anklets, two silver coins and a motorcycle used in the incident from them. According to him, during interrogation, the police came to know that these crooks steal in closed houses.
