An old bridge over the Indrayani river on Sunday in Talegaon area of Pune suddenly collapsed. In this accident, 20-25 people are reported to be swept away in the river. So far, the death of two people has been confirmed. The local administration is immediately active and the search and rescue operations for missing people continue on a war footing.
According to Pimpri-Chinchwad police, the accident occurred near Kundamala village. Police said that 10 to 15 people are expected to be trapped in this incident, out of which 5 to 6 people have been rescued so far.

According to the information that has come out, the condition of the bridge was already quite dilapidated, due to which it was closed for the movement of vehicles for the last few months. It is being told that the bridge collapsed due to sudden flow in the river. However, the exact cause of the accident has not been revealed yet.
Giving information about the incident, former vice -president of Cantonment Board Dehu Road, Raghuveer Shelar said, ‘An old bridge collapsed here around 4 pm. About 125 tourists stood at the same place on the bridge and suddenly it collapsed. About 20-25 people were swept away in the river. Some of them were taken out by local workers, while 4-5 people are still stranded under the bridge.
