The Governor said that the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is equally responsible for the 1974 mistakes, as she was in power at that time. In a post on ‘X’, Governor Ravi said, “During his visit to Rameswaram, I met our troubled brothers and sisters of the fisherman community. I have a deep sympathy with them. He is a victim of an unjust agreement of 1974, which was extremely insensitive to the livelihood concerns of our poor fishermen.
