The Trinamool Congress on Thursday said that it would investigate the related video clips and other details before taking action against his MLA Humayun Kabir, who threatens the Leader of the Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari to show the strength of the party’s Muslim MLAs.
The ruling party of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress also said that it condemns the “hateful comment” of the BJP leader. The official on Tuesday claimed that if the BJP comes to power in West Bengal in next year’s election, the Muslim MLAs of Trinamool would be excluded from the assembly.
In response, Kabir threatened the officer to withdraw his words within 72 hours, otherwise to face the strength of Muslim MLAs. Bhagwanpur MLA Kabir said, “If he talks about taking out Trinamool MLAs, we will not feed them rasgulla.” He started this quarrel, not we. ”
Trinamool chief whip Nirmal Ghosh said that the party is investigating the video footage in which Kabir is allegedly seen making such comments. Ghosh said, “Appropriate action will be taken after collecting all the details.”
Ghosh said to ‘PTI-language’ on Thursday, “The party does not support any comment that is unfair and contrary to parliamentary dignity. The legislative party will decide on the issue on 17 May.
