After the all-party meeting on the Pahalgam terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah said that we, participants of the all-party meeting of Jammu and Kashmir, are very shocked and distressed by the recent barbaric attack on innocent citizens in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, adopt this proposal with a sense of collective solidarity and resolution. We strongly condemn the heinous, inhuman attack in Pahalgam, in which innocent civilians were targeted and murdered.

Abdullah said that such cowardly acts of cruelty against peaceful citizens have no place in the society and are a direct attack on the values of Kashmiriyat and the idea of India, which have been a symbol of unity, peace and harmony in the region for a long time. We also support the steps taken by the central government announced tomorrow. We express our deep condolences to those families who have suffered losses. We salute the highest sacrifice of martyr Syed Adil Hussain Shah, who took tourists on their horse in Pahalgam and were martyred in an attempt to fight one of the terrorists to save the tourists.
He said that we appeal to the governments of all states and union territories politely and honestly to come forward with strong commitment to the safety of those Kashmiri students and citizens in these difficult times, who find themselves away from home. We call for peace from Jammu and Kashmir and all political parties, community leaders, religious institutions, youth groups, civil society organizations and media organizations of the country, opposing the provocation of those who try to disrupt harmony and continue working together for peace and development of the region.

Democratic Progressive Azad Party President Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the people of the whole country and Jammu and Kashmir are standing in support of those who have lost their loved ones in the Pahalgam attack … All Hindus and Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir are united against terrorism. Sajjad Lone, head of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference, said that we are all unanimous and a resolution has been unanimously passed. National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi said that we discussed how to talk to other state governments. We also need to ensure the safety of people from other states. We discussed intensely on how to ensure the safety of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in other states. It may be called a special session of the assembly, in which it can be discussed.
