Pakistan’s Army Chief General Aseem Munir has once again raised poison over Kashmir. During a speech at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi, Munir justified Pakistan’s open support, calling terrorism a “legitimate struggle” in Jammu and Kashmir. In his speech, Aseem Munir said that Pakistan is a supporter of “justified solutions” in Kashmir and this struggle is in line with United Nations resolutions and Kashmiri people’s wishes. Munir, who has recently been excited since the lunch with US President Donald Trump in Washington, said that Pakistan is a strong advocate for the equitable solution of the Kashmir issue and we will continue political, moral and diplomatic support for the Kashmiris. Not only this, Munir described this alleged “struggle” as a condition for peace and stability in the region, which makes it clear that he considers anti -India activities to be the way of peace.

In his speech, Munir also claimed that Pakistan showed restraint and maturity despite India’s “serious excitement” and maintained its commitment to regional peace. He said that during “Operation Sindoor”, Pakistan gave India a “firm and decisive answer”.

Let us tell you that this statement of Asim Munir is being seen as another provocation in India. This statement can also harm peace efforts in the valley. At the same time, this latest statement of the Pak Army chief confirms the same old policy of Pakistan, under which he tries to throw dust in the eyes of the world by calling terrorism a “mass movement” in Kashmir.

Let us also remind you that Aseem Munir also made a provocative statement at a conference of migrant Pakistanis in Islamabad in April. It was only after that statement that there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. At that time Munir had said that Hindus and Muslims are two different nations, whose religion, culture, thinking and aspirations are completely different and Pakistan was formed on the basis of this principle. Let us tell you that security analysts believe that such statements of the Pak Army chief indirectly provoke terrorists.

However, such statements of General Aseem Munir are openly supporting terrorism. It is also clear from this that the Pakistan Army still stands on its old policy. At the same time, the hopes of improving Indo-Pak relations from such statements and subsequent events are blurred and it poses a threat to the peace of South Asia.
