Islamabad. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif formally launched the first anti-polio campaign of the year. This country is struggling with this deadly disease. A ceremony was held in Islamabad where he gave children a polio medicine to inaugurate the campaign. Polio workers will give polio medicine to children during the seven -day campaign from February 3 to 9.
In his address on the occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to the elimination of polio from Pakistan and said that during this campaign, millions of children across the country will be vaccinated with polio. Sharif hoped that dedicated teams would work day and night to eradicate the disease and reach far-flung areas and villages. He said that these teams will successfully fulfill the big responsibility using their full energy.
