According to PTI sources, Abdullah Khurram Niazi, the head of domestic cricket in PCB, has been cutting facilities for domestic players for the past few months. The source said that, the players who were being given the facility to stay in the first five -star and four -star hotel, are now being given the facility to stay in cheap hotels. Apart from fees, the cost of air travel for them has also been reduced.

Another source said that players and umpires have not yet been dues of last season. Apart from this, PCB has not yet implemented the annual pension increase for former Test cricketers as per the board policy. A source said that it is ironic that while the match fees of the players are being reduced, the officers who make these decisions are getting monthly salary in millions.
