Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday formed a three -member inquiry panel to investigate the alleged discrepancies by the Beed District Planning Committee in an allocation of Rs 877 crore, when his cabinet colleague Dhananjay Munde was the patron minister. Prior to the State Cabinet meeting, Munde, who was targeted by the opposition for killing a sarpanch in Beed, met NCP chief Ajit Pawar. However, the details of the meeting were not available. The panel investigation will include administrative approval for projects under the District Planning Committee for 2023-24 and 2024-25, when a major NCP leader of Beed was Munde Patron Minister.
