Parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad reached Copenhagen

An all -party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad arrived here on Thursday with the aim of expressing India’s firm attitude against terrorism.

The delegation was welcomed by Manish Prabhat, India’s Ambassador to Denmark. The Indian Embassy in Denmark posted on ‘X’ that the delegation would participate in various official programs on Friday.

The group is one of the seven multi -party delegations that India have sent on a tour of 33 global capitals to make India aware of their stance on terrorism after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April.

Apart from former Union Law and Justice Minister Prasad, the delegation included D. Purandeshwari, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Samik Bhattacharya (BJP), Rajya Sabha member of Shiv Sena (Ubatha) Priyanka Chaturvedi, Congress Lok Sabha member Amar Singh, AIADMK MP M Thambidurai, former Union Minister of State for External Affairs Minister MJ Akbar and former Deputy National Security Advisor Pankaj Saran.

According to a press release by the Ministry of External Affairs, during his stay in Copenhagen, the delegation will interact with Denmark MPs, members of political parties, media and overseas Indians. Earlier, this delegation met senior Italian officials. Both sides also confirmed the importance of Indo-Italy strategic partnership and the ability to increase bilateral cooperation.
