The report of the Joint Committee of Parliament investigating the Waqf (Amendment) Bill will be presented in Parliament on 13 February. It was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 1 February. The committee on Thursday submitted a report to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The JPC, adopted by a majority last week, said its report included changes suggested by the ruling BJP members, which the opposition called the exercise an attempt to destroy the Waqf boards. On the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, the Joint Committee of Parliament adopted the report on the draft law by 15–11 majority.
