PM Modi said on Veer Bal Diwas, empowering the youth is the top priority of the government

At the Veer Bal Diwas ceremony in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that empowering the youth is the top priority of the government. He said that today the youth are getting opportunities in every field related to the development of the nation. He said that we can see new changes and challenges in every field, hence we need to prepare our youth for the future. Modi said in his address that today we are becoming a part of the third ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. Three years ago, our government had started celebrating ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ in the immortal memory of the sacrifice of Veer Sahibzadas. Now this day has become a festival of national inspiration for crores of countrymen and for the entire country. This day has filled many children and youth of India with indomitable courage.

The Prime Minister said that the Sahibzadas rejected all the temptations of the Mughal Empire. He endured every atrocities. When Wazir Khan ordered them to be killed alive with bricks, the Sahibzadas accepted the challenge with great bravery. He reminded Wazir Khan of the bravery of Guru Arjan Dev, Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh. He accepted death, but never deviated from the path of faith. He said that the Guru tradition has taught us to look at everyone equally and the Constitution also inspires us to this idea.
Narendra Modi said that the lives of the brave Sahibzadas teach us not to compromise with the integrity and ideas of the country and the Constitution also gives us the principle of keeping India’s sovereignty and integrity paramount. The vastness of our democracy contains the teachings of the Gurus, the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas and the basic mantra of the unity of the country. He said that from history till present, youth energy has always played a big role in India’s progress. From the freedom struggle to the mass movements of the 21st century, the youth of India have contributed to every revolution.

The Prime Minister said that ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ fills us with inspiration and inspires new resolutions. I have told the Red Fort that now the best should be our standard. I will tell our youth to work to make whatever sector they are in the best. He said that 26th December was the day when our Sahibzadas sacrificed their lives at a young age. Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh were short in age, but their courage was higher than the sky.
