Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday directed the police to take strict action like imposing Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act (MCOCA) against those who harass and threatened industries, irrespective of their party.
He said that it is necessary to create a favorable environment for industries in view of the state’s engagement with global companies and the flow of investment in the state. Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate near Pune, Fadnavis also said that illegal hoardings are being installed by all political parties across the state and law enforcement agencies should take action on such hoardings, ‘ Even if I have my own pictures on them. ”
Fadnavis, who is holding the responsibility of the Home Department, said that the industries around Pune are complaining of harassment. He said, “We get complaints from time to time about harassment, threatening and forced recovery from industries. Such actions will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
