Prime Minister Modi met Luxon and his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba, who was recently appointed to the top post following the surprise resignation of his predecessor earlier this year, on the sidelines of the 21st ASEAN-India Summit. He is expected to meet more leaders during his two-day visit to Laos as he will also address the 19th East Asia Summit.
After attending the ASEAN-India Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. While talking to news agency ANI, New Zealand’s PM Luxon described himself as a big fan of India. This is a country I love and admire immensely. Indians back home in New Zealand have done exceptionally well in New Zealand. They are very inspiring. They work incredibly hard and have achieved success at all levels in our society.
