Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha member from Wayanad, visited the new Passport Seva Kendra in his constituency Kalpta on Monday and reviewed its operation there.

Party sources said that the Congress General Secretary, who reached the office with local party leaders, was welcomed by Regional Passport Officer (Kozhikode) Arun Mohan and others. He said that during the discussion with the officials, the MP suggested to consider increasing the number of applications received daily at the Center to 120.

Priyanka Gandhi later expressed happiness over the opening of the new Passport Seva Kendra during a conversation with reporters. He said, “I am happy that it is open to the people because it will be very convenient for them. It is also a mobile system that goes to more remote areas. I think this is a good idea. The Congress leader said that the process of about 40 passports at the center goes ahead and they are sure that this number will increase.
