Terrorism is a global problem: Tharoor
On reaching the US, the all -party delegation led by Tharoor visited the 9/11 memorial site and expressed solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack. He said that the delegation’s visit reminds that terrorism is a common problem for both India and America.
He said that this was certainly a very poignant moment for us, but its purpose was to give a very strong message that we are here in a city which is still facing the mark of that brutal terrorist attack in view of another terrorist attack in our own country. We have come as a reminder that this is a common problem, but also with a sense of solidarity with the victims, including Indians. This is a global problem, we have to fight unitedly with it.
