The first batch of 148 illegal Bangladeshi migrants caught under the special campaign of the police in Rajasthan continued their first batch, to West Bengal on Wednesday by a special flight. Police sources gave this information.
According to sources, 1,008 “intruders” have been detained under this campaign in 17 districts of the state so far. Sources said that these 148 illegal Bangladeshi migrants were caught from Jaipur region after being identified by intelligence agencies after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. He was taken to Jodhpur in police buses from a ‘detained center’ in Jaipur amidst stringent police security.
According to intelligence sources, these migrants will be detained in West Bengal and after further action they will be sent to Bangladesh by the Border Security Force (BSF).
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had directed the police to launch a campaign against illegal Bangladeshi migrants on 30 April and ensure their exile.
A source said, “These intruders were kept in one of the two detained centers established in Jaipur.” In the first phase of his exile, 148 illegal Bangladeshi migrants were sent to Jodhpur and from there to West Bengal for exile. “Sources said that the campaign would continue until all illegal Bangladeshis are identified and they are not deported.
