Rockets were fired from Syria for the first time after Bashar Assad’s government collapsed: Israel

The Israeli army said two rockets were fired from Syria on Tuesday which fell into the open areas of Israel controlled Golan heights. Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government has been attacked from Syrian region to Israel for the first time after falling in December.

Syrian government media reported that Israel bombed the western rural areas of Dara province in Syria after rocket was fired. The UK -based war monitoring organization ‘Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ has also reported the Israeli airstrikes, causing explosions in the rural areas of Kunitra city and Dara.

Last year, a group named ‘Mohammad Zaif Brigade’, named after Mohammad Zaif, Hamas’s military leader killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza, took responsibility for the attack on a post on the social media forum ‘Telegram’. The group came out for the first time on social media a few days ago.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Catz said in a statement that his country directly considers the Syrian President responsible for every threat and shelling towards Israel and has warned to give a proper answer to it.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the government TV channel that it has not yet confirmed the truth of the reports on Israel from Syria.
