Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Wednesday that the film ‘Chhava’ reflects the bravery and intelligence of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and historians did not give him a proper place.
Fadnavis described the film as ‘very good’ in a conversation with reporters at a special screening of the film organized by Aditi Tatkare, a minister in the state government. He said that the film gives information about the life and period of the warrior king.
The film starring Vicky Kaushal is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Asim Azmi was suspended on Wednesday until the end of the budget session from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for his comment made in praise of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
