The film starring Vicky Kaushal is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Asim Azmi was suspended on Wednesday until the end of the budget session from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for his comment made in praise of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
