External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday said that we cannot change the mentality of a neighboring country whose thinking is psychosis and fanaticism and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi could not do so. Jaishankar also said during the Question Hour in the Lok Sabha that despite many cases of attacks on religious minorities including Hindus and their oppression in Pakistan, the government there does not take any action for the protection of minorities.

He said that in the month of February, 10 cases of atrocities on Hindus, two cases of oppression of Sikhs and one case of excesses with a Christian community came to light in Pakistan. The Foreign Minister counted cases of kidnapping, forced conversion and police action against the students playing Holi. He said that a case also revealed the oppression of people associated with Ahmedia community.
Port, ship transport and waterway minister Sarbananda Sonowal said in the Lok Sabha on Friday that “the goods carriage bill, 2024” will establish a better coordination between those sending goods and carrying the goods and will increase the credibility. After discussing the bill, the House passed it with some government amendments. This bill will replace the ‘Malavhan Act, 1925’ by sea after taking the form of law.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda told Parliament on Friday that till March 26, all the states and union territories of the country, except West Bengal, have been included in the Ayushman India Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). Nadda said that more than 8.9 crore patients were admitted to the hospital from the beginning of Ayushmann India-Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana from March 1, 2025.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy said in the Lok Sabha on Friday that there are many factors behind the frequent aircraft trips and until the development of infrastructure in small cities will not be reduced. Chairman Jagadin Dhankhar said that Rana Sanga is a symbol of patriotism and the indefinite comment made about him cannot be accepted. At the same time, opposition members walked out of the House on Friday after Samajwadi Party leader Ramji Lal Suman was not allowed to speak in the Rajya Sabha after a controversy over an alleged remark of him.
Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Friday that the government has taken extensive technical and legal measures to deal with cyber attacks. During the Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Vaishnav said that the government is also creating awareness among people to deal with this challenge.
