After this incident, Cochin University BTech Alumni Association, UAE has given an apology to clarify that his intention was not to hurt anyone. In fact, Shahid Afridi was welcomed during an inter-college dance competition organized by Cubaa in Dubai recently. The video of this program went viral on social media, in which people were raising slogans of Afridi’s famous Nickname Boom Boom.
In the video, Afridi was seen praising Kerala and the food there. But this warm welcome welcomed many nebenses and right wing supporters. People criticized Cubaa on social media, because Afridi recently described Pahalgam as embarrassing, then the second man is welcomed that such a person is being welcomed who makes rhetoric against our country. After this ruckus, Cubaa apologized through a post on Instagram on Friday and clarified the entire incident.
Cubaa reported that he had booked Pakistan Association Dubai as a venue for the second season of his dance competition. The venue was also used last year, as it was economical. The organizers said that the tension between India and Pakistan had already reduced on the day of their program held on 25 May. But that day, some cricketers for another event in the same auditorium, including Shahid Afridi, reached. Cubaa made it clear that neither his team nor an alumnic member called Afridi.
