According to the ANI report, in a letter to Bookmocha on April 2, Rahul Kanal asked the platform not to sell Kamra’s show tickets, as he is concerned about Kamra’s controversial content.

A few days ago, he said that whenever comedian Kunal Kamra comes to Mumbai, he will be welcomed in ‘Shiv Sena style’. Now the party’s youth leader Rahul N Kanal has urged the ticketing platform bookmayasho not to broadcast the comedian show. According to the ANI report, in a letter to Bookmocha on April 2, Rahul Kanal asked the platform not to sell Kamra’s show tickets, as he is concerned about Kamra’s controversial content.

Kanal wrote in the letter, “I am writing this letter in my personal ability as a concerned citizen, so that the matter of important public interest related to the operation of bookmoches can be brought to your attention. It has come to my cognizance that Bookmocha has provided ticket sales facility for the show of Shri Kunal Kamra, which is a prompt history of habitual behavior.” Rahul Kanal later told the media that it was the moral responsibility of any platform to stay away from artists, shows or programs in which some suspects are found or who is against the law of the country, until it is cleared by law.

Kanal accused the comedian of allegedly campaigning against several prominent celebrities, including the Prime Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and said that Kamra’s remarks could spread outrage among the people. He said that Kamra’s content can spoil social harmony, especially in Mumbai. Comedian Kunal Kamra is caught in a major controversy over his new comedy special ‘Naya Bharat’, which he released on YouTube on 24 March. The ruckus is about the song in which he allegedly called Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as “traitors” during the show.
