Mumbai all -rounder Shivam Dubey can be called back to the Indian team for the last three T20 Internationals against England as emerging stars Nitish Kumar Reddy may be out of the rest of the series due to injury. Dubey is expected to join the national team before the third T20 match in Rajkot on 28 January. Dubey had his previous T20 International match against Sri Lanka in July last year. He was out of the team due to a back injury.
He has recently returned to domestic cricket after completing rehabilitation. The 31 -year -old player, however, was not included in the team for the five -match T20 International series against England. The selectors have included the young all -round -all -round Reddy who affected Australia in the team.
Dubey, however, failed to impress in his first Ranji match of return from injury. He failed to open an account in both innings against Jammu and Kashmir. Dubey, who batted with the left hand, has played 33 T20 internationals so far in which he has scored 448 runs at a strike rate of about 135. He has taken 11 wickets with his medium speed bowling.
