Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday wished the safe and successful mission of Axiom-4 for the International Space Station, saying that the space journey of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is a glorious achievement for India and is an inspiration for the youth of the country.
Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla made history by leaving for a visit to the International Space Station (ISS) with three other astronauts on Wednesday under the Commercial Mission operated by the Ex -Space.
Through the Russian spacecraft, this visit of an Indian is taking place 41 years after the space journey of the first Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma. Siddaramaiah said on ‘X’, “Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla was very happy to see Shubhanshu Shukla going into space on the Axiaom-4 mission. His journey is a proud milestone for India and inspiration for our youth.”
He said, I wish him and the X-4 team a safe and successful mission. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar described it as a moment of pride for India. He said, the tricolor is returning to space after 41 years.
