The joint team of the airport police station and the Narcotent Executive Executive (ANTF) in Prayagraj arrested a person who allegedly smuggled a smack and recovered 700 grams of smack from his possession, which is an estimated price of Rs 1.40 crore.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP-Nagar) Abhishek Bharti told reporters that Syed Mohammad Siraj Rabbani was arrested near Bhagwatpur Hospital on Monday on the information of an informer who is a resident of Barabanki.
He said that 700 grams of illegal smack was recovered from the possession of Mohammad Siraj Rabbani, the estimated price of which is around Rs 1 crore 40 lakh. The DCP said that a case has been registered against him under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act at the airport police station.
